چکیده

Abstract Introduction Myxomas are the most common heart tumors. Although, myxomas often diagnosed incidentally in asymptomatic patients, they frequently associated with embolic events, becoming an important cause of morbidity and mortality. Whether some myxomas' characteristics predict more risk is not well established. Objectives This analysis aims to describe clinical echocardiographic data a long cohort patients cardiac establish potential predictors events int these patients. Methods Between 1990 2021, 88 were myxoma. 84 included this analysis. Baseline characteristics, findings noted retrospectively. A binary logistic regression using SPSS statistics software, version 25.0 was performed possible predictors. Results (mean age 63.1±12.9 years old, 75% female) myxoma (sporadic type 100%) analyzed (table 1). The majority located left atrium (88.1%, n=74), followed by right (10.7%, n=9) ventricle (1.2%, n=1). average dimension (longer axis) 36.8±17.4mm. 9.6% (n=8) had Atrial Fibrillation (AF) rhythm. 22.6% (n=19) experienced central nervous system (19.0%, n=6), peripheric/limbs (2.4%, n=2), renal n=1) coronary presence irregular borders (papillary, bosselated) only parameter independently increased 6 times (OR 6.78, 95% confidence interval 2.14–21.51, p-value 0.001). Neither AF, dimensions, calcifications, pediculated insertion, mobility or heterogeneous aspect predicted statistical significance 2). Conclusions Cardiac (22.6% our population), posing mortality Besides borders, other myxoma's did consistently occurrence events. supports well-recognized fact that all have therefore, should be excised, although those very at much higher embolization. Cardiac Myxoma With Unusual Obstructive and Embolic Presentations

We present a case of cardiac myxoma with atypical presentations of concurrent stroke and angiography-negative myocardial infarction. The case emphasizes the importance of basic echocardiography and timely surgery in the management of cardiac myxoma. An elderly woman presented to the emergency department in an unconscious state. Electrocardiogram and elevated cardiac enzymes suggested acute myoc...

Intravenous Thrombolysis for Embolic Stroke due to Cardiac Myxoma

Cardiac myxoma is a rare but curable cause of ischemic stroke. Current guidelines do not address the use of intravenous thrombolysis for embolic stroke caused by cardiac myxoma. The risk of hemorrhage due to occult tumor emboli or microaneurysms is a major concern. We describe a 45-year-old man who had an embolic stroke in the left middle cerebral artery. The initial National Institutes of Heal...

A unique atrial primary cardiac lymphoma mimicking myxoma presenting with embolic stroke: a case report.

An immunocompetent 29-year-old male presented with an embolic stroke from an unusual primary cardiac lymphoma. The cardiac lesion consisted of a polypoid, left atrial, mural fibrin thrombus with anaplastic tumor cells lining the surface of the clot. Histologic, immunophenotypic, and molecular characterizations were consistent with a diagnosis of CD30+ large B-cell lymphoma with anaplastic cytol...
